Advocate meetings

HCAG meets with its steering committee, coalition members, and community partners to work on policy and advocacy

General Membership meetings

HCAG holds quarterly membership meetings with keynote speakers, legislative updates, and networking opportunities.

On October 4th, 2017, at the Marin County Office of Education, HCAG celebrated it's launch with over 60 people in attendance. We enjoyed a welcome by the Marin County Superintendent of Schools Mary Jane Burke and SRCS Teacher Casey Hunt, who discussed the importance of tackling housing at every income level, especially for our children and educators. For the keynote, Rachel Ginis of Lilypad Homes shared information about how to build these units, how they help low-income families and struggling landlords, and what Lilypad is doing to make them easier to build, more widespread, and more affordable. This was part of one of our short-term goals of educating our membership on the importance of ADUs and JADUs. We introduced Katie Koyfman as our new staff and Steering Committee members provided a legislative update and a call to action!
